Speakin' of beavers, I/we shared the mess hall at Val Cartier(north of Quebec City) with some of Canuckland's finest infantry.......or so I'm told.

I think they are the 22nd Royal Regiment(?).

“The reason I suggested Japanese infantry is that they can be some scary dudes.
The 442 Regimental Combat Team(Japanese Americans) terrorized the Germans in Italy.

I also read somewhere that the "ideal" infantry would be one with Japanese riflemen, American field officers, and German staff planners.

Of course the U.S. Marine Raiders terrorized the IJA in the island campaigns.
A combination of wicked physical training, team tactics, better small arms, and superior support made the Raiders practically un-beatable.

Given proper support and transportation the IJA would have been more trouble than it was.”
