Chiggers

“Got Them!

So did my son. So we are doing the cream and washed everything with hot water. What do I do with my pack???? Would it also be carrying these lovely creatures?

Anyone have any advice?”

“Standard procedure on skin is to dab fingernail polish on each infiltration (watch out for rude comments if you go with Coal Pink).

I don't know what to tell you about the pack. I've never had them 'stick around' in that fashion.”

“It took nearly a week to get rid of mine here. I washed EVERYthing (pack/sleeping bag, etc) as a precautionary measure.”

“what do you wash your pack in - the doctor told me to wash the clothes/sleeping bag in Hot water. Do you think spraying it with an insecticide would do it/

“Anything will help. I don't advocate insecticide myself though.
