“Ped, I mentioned the Pakistani video of everyone there laughing and handing out candy etc. Hubby said he did see it was an old file video from tv. I didn't happen to see it, so I still have the images in my head from what the film showed. I don't know if it isn't like that now anyway though.

That guy that used the old film should get some street time for allowing that to air. I depend on what I see, and read to be accurate without having to be an archivist to look up past information to fully understand what's really going on.

“The footage of Palestinians celebrating was, unfortunately, genuine according to all the reports I have seen. No one seems to agree on what percentage of the population celebrated and what percentage of the population mourned.

I don't know anything about the Pakastani's celebrating (and the rumor site only debunks the Palestinian rumor), but I guess since some Pakastanis were demonstrating in favor of Taliban and against the US... I wouldn't be surprised if some celebrated. Supposedly some radical Pakastanis have been naming their kids Omar over the last few years.”

Does anyone know if this is true? Is there more to it?”
