RE: otter creek wilderness
Yes!

There is a whole lotta rhododendron in the creek valley.
The creek trail is an old rail-trail that crosses the creek a few times.
I take sandals for wading.
In the days before sandals I would wade barefoot.....ooch, ouch!!!

The creek trail runs roughly north-south and is about eleven miles from end to end.

There are trials on the ridges on either side of the creek.
I have hiked loops of 9, 20, and 14 miles.

At 4.5 miles down the creek there is a HUGE swimming hole and a shelter nearby.
The water is COLD.

Otter Creek Wilderness is a deep woods experience.
I couldn't find it, but there is one overlook that I am aware of somewhere off of the Moore Mountain Trail on the west side of the Wilderness.

The creek trail is VERY wet in places, especially where the rail trail is cut through to maintain its grade.

Its a freakin' jungle out there!

RE: otter creek wilderness
What Mr.Terrific said.

The trail system is in drainage basin and all trails are nearby Otter Creek and/or its tributaries...ie. wet. Don't expect awesome vistas, but there's lots of water and summertime swimmingholes.

It's a beautiful place...you gotta get there sooner or later.
