There will ALWAYS be those that hate us. As soon as we change our policies to placate one group, another group will come along that will see us as the reason their lives suck. It's lonely at the top, and the US is most definitely on top of the heap. The next largest economy (Japan) isn't even half the size of ours.

As the leader of some destitute nation, it's often a matter of personal survival to find a scapegoat on which to hang the problems your own leadership has brought upon your people. There are MANY such leaders in the world, and no matter what the US does, as long as we're Number One, we will be the target of hate and envy from the have-nots of the world.”

Especially here in the U.S.. Terrorist can either act alone or in groups. I would imagine that there are alot of closet Taliban supporters presently in the US that we have NO knowledge of. Pumping money into other nations is often not a good solution. Give a drunk money and he'll buy booze. Give the guy on the corner money, that he doesn't have to earn, and he'll often think you're an easy mark not a virtuous person.
