“I know that backpacking is considered unusual in my area, but I would have thought that it was much more common in AZ. There is so much to see in the four corners region. Maybe the dryness holds people back...Golf and tennis are really big in my family. But I found that I enjoyed the walk and the scenery more than the actual game of hitting the ball with the right club and right swing. BTW I don't think non-backpackers really grasp how physically demanding backpacking is.”
