Today is brownies and three week shopping for groceries (painful but infrequent). Tomorrow is work and a friends wedding (Yay!). Sunday is a day of rest, whew. Maybe if it stops raining/sleeting we'll go for a hike. Or maybe a quick visit to REI just to poke around.

MapleLeaf - the book is a wilderness cookbook for backpackers and paddlers. It is called A Fork in the Trail and the website is www.aforkinthetrail.com

It just came out and I am really proud of it - I think it might be the most complete book of its kind. I put a lot of passion into it.

Who else around here writes? I'm addicted to books so it would be great to add to my collection.

They are also good for massaging when the lights are low and you are trying to get someone in the mood.

Wildchild, I wrote a fantasy novel. Its a damn fine story even if I published it myself lol.

You can buy it sure, but you can also read the first 8 or so chapters on line to make sure you aren't wasting your money :)...

wildchild, before you jump froggy and buy the book I want to point out that it is self published and therefore hasn't been vetted by a brick and mortar publishing company. Its still better than the majority of crap those companies put out, but I didn't want you to be mislead.

I read all sorts of things - from raw manuscripts to polished bestsellers - I love a good book and a good book doesn't have to come from a big publishing house -I'm open minded and I love books that are imaginative... so this is right up my alley
