I should be getting my return in the next couple days.

Anyone know how long it takes for the state to intercept a tax return for back child support? Last year I didn't get it till july or august, but I don't know when she did them.”

Sunday: Writing a 10-page research paper on use of winter flooded rice fields by Pacific Flyway waterfowl.

Monday: I dunno. Hopefully a day hike.

“sleep in saturday, get up with the kids and do the dad thing (make breakfast... pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc). go climbing by noon. climb until 6 or one of my arms pops off. drive to wisconsin. shoo the kids to bed. sleep.

sleep in sunday. again do the dad thing at breakfast... omelettes perhaps, toast, jam, hash browns, OJ. head out and ski on lake winnebago for a few hours. perhaps build an igloo with my "icebox". drive back to chicagoland. drink a few beers, go to bed.

at least that's the general idea.”

Seeing as how the weekend hike didn't happen, we figure we will pack the gear into the Jeep and take a tour of East TN/West NC and just find a place to camp on the side of a forest service road.”

“Well, I was going to think about a trip for the week I have off starting Sunday, but now my dog is scheduled for surgery to get that lump out of her chest and 2 others removed as well.

So......I have plenty to keep me busy though, Ican post here a lot and annoy nimblefoot, I have rose seeds hatching that I need to finish planting up (I have over 40 already potted up....I think I should open a nursery, hadn;t expected THAT many to sprout.....”

Tomorrow may run up to the mountains for some skiing. Have a friend who wants to learn to backcountry ski. Weather is supposed to be blue skys and high 70's!”
