“This weekend was camping at Pacific Beach, but about 2 weekends before this, I did a spectacular hike at Mt. Rainier doing the Naches Peak/Tipsoo Lakes trail. The blueberry bushes were bright red for the fall with the other fall foliage.

The icing on the cake was spotting a bear just below my trail on the slopes eating blueberries. I've seen bear before, but not that close.

“Camping with 12,000 other scouts at the infield of the Talladega racetrack. It's supposed to be the biggest one in the country this year.”

“I can just see 12,000scouts walking around in tight circles in the infield with hatchets in hand looking for something to chop down. I can see them taking turns on the flag poles. LOL!”

“We had one of those at RIR last year.. We weren't in the inflied, but out in one of the parking fields... Oh lordy what a fiasco.. Kids had a great time, but getting in and out was a nightmare...

“Austin started basketball last week and Ana is going to church with a friend. It's hunting season, so no woods for us on Saturday anyway...Sunday we might go for a walk/hike if it isn't raining...

We have Tuesday off, so we are going to the beach with some of the kid's classmates...we make hot chocolate and sand candles, beachcomb and just hang out.”

“Sunday I'm going to meet up with Wildbill and some other folks to cruise the backroads on our motorcycles. There is a road in the mountains called Tail of the Dragon (The Dragon, for short) where people who like really curvy roads go riding for fun. Well, we have a very, very miniature size one down here I have nicknamed The Gecho that we will go play on as well.”
