Oh, as for this weekend, my boyfriend, Tater, is visiting this weekend! YAY!!!! I dunno what were doin though. It is supposed to rain and be cold :( Bad weather. bleh.”

“Bucky, yes..it is a bunionectomy. A second one to follow in a month or so. I have cool new permanent stainless intraskeletal hardware. ;)

Vicodin is delicious. They prefer to give you Oxycodone...but that made me nauseous.

It's not that difficult a surgery, it's just a lot of care to get it healed up nice and backpacker-girl suitable. Get a sports doc.

If I don't get out of this house soon I'll be needing a clock tower and m40a3 to take the edge off.

“all I know is, every time I go to the Pine Barrens or even have to reschulde a trip somewhere else, something alway bad happens

to the barrens:

trip 1. heavy and i mean heavy rains

trip 2. scorth got very and I mean very bad blisters

trip 3. got very and I mean very lost

started off going to the PB but changed locations but still bad luck

trip 1. broken toe unable to go
trip 2. lost gear unable to go


now these were all group trips, this one I am going solo. other then mother nature coming a tad early...so far so good...”

“I'm spending the weekend in a timeless vacuum vortex known as Ohio State University Medical Center. My dad has to have a 25 year old pace maker lead lazered off and replaced. It's a pretty dicey thing so we're hoping for the best.”

“Rock climbing on sat and skiing on sunday. There'll be a little bit of hiking in connection with the climbing, but not too much.

Maybe a bike ride sat afternoon too - we shall see.”

“I actually bought two different pairs of boots from REI. Both are mid height and leather and are made by Merrell. First, and I'm hoping these work, are the Chameleon Arc the other ones are called Radius--I read good review about their comfort, but I've never even seen this shoe so it'll be a complete surprise. Whatever doesn't feel good will go back to the store. I've tried on the low cut version of the Chameleon's before and I liked them...only question is whether the arch spport is too high for my foot. We'll see. Wish me luck.

“HUGE Chesapeake Bay Retrievers....Sully (my boy now that Morgan crossed rainbow bridge) (short for Sullivan) is very soft furred, he is a cuddler and like to hang out with me.

“soft furred retriever? sorta goes without saying. Gosh I love retrievers...and labs...and blue healers and german shepards...I pretty much like any dog....”

Color between dead grass and a deep liver (almost like a chocolate lab) they are a cross between the Newfoundlander and a Wiry Haired Retriever....great dog.”

“Um if you are looking for a "family member" not a yard ornament they are YOUR dog...LOL the most recent addition is Amadeus. BIG huge 100#+ boy look like a Newfoundlander in the face but is as sweet as they get.

Needless to say my daughter decided that was (after the past three attempts were turned over to me) HER DOG.

He is as protective of her as anyone. LOL. A meter reader came up to chat with her (he was outside the fence) and he reached over to shake hands and Ami went bananas.....(LOL)

There are many things I wouldn't have had a opportunity to do if I had the mentality that I can't do things by myself.
