I have been wearing a 40 lb weight vest while working out. I cannot wait till fall and backpacking weather down here.

May go up to ATL this weekend to get a pack for my friend (been using one of the "old packs").”

My weekend will be spent relaxing, may get the kayaks out and paddle around. Kinda have to hang around the old homestead because one of my associates is on summer vacation and I am covering for him.”

“HPM went back to Jacksonville, Fl., for an Eagle scout court if honor and to visit family. He called me when he rolled into town, appalled at how ugly the place looks. It's always been ugly, with all the rampant development. It's just gotten much worse since he last visited about a year ago.

I love duration hikes. Overnighters are fun and serve a purpose for a quick fix of nature, but in my opinion, do not compare with the enjoyment derived from multiple nights in the backcountry.”
