“The filter inside is brand new. Maybe a couple liters. Both filters were sent by Pur to replace my old one.

“I didn't use the secondary charcoal filter much either. I couldn't justify the weight. I heard somewhere that the charcoal filter neutralized the filtering properties of the Pur, but I never did get the facts.

You might check with Pur or do a internet search.
