Oh, and of course Stanlee and Flyguy have NEVER laughed at a fat joke, a blond joke, or an ETHNIC joke. Let's keep some perspective here.

Stan and Fly do have a ligitimate complaint.

But yes, I do have friends and relatives that are deformed/disabled and we carry on like that all the time with each other. I used to babysit my neighbors child who had profound cerebal palsy until she died at 14. I also volunteer a good portion of my time to work at a camp with kids with various conditions so yes I have seen the painful side of it.
That's how we deal with it-by laughing at it and each other. Feel free to crack on me at any time.

RE: Midget Hikers
For anyone that found this post offensive, my apology. I have to admit that I hardly see how it is any worse that some of the other offensive things we say on here. That being said, I still apologize.

All of us have people we know who are struggling with somewhat less than 'normal' lives. Sometimes a joke makes life more bearable.

I hope this helps in that regard.

RE: Midget Hikers
Don't apologize T-Dawggy, if people can't take a joke, they can leave, and then come back, and then leave again. That may make them an a$$ (which is similar to a mule (see how I worked that in there HPM)).

For the ultralight hikers, I reccommend the golite midgets. They are the bulemic versions of "little people", the most famous one being Bill Mahr. They aren't good for tossing or bowling, but take up little room in your pack, and weight only 5 lbs!

RE: Midget Hikers
uh Midgets may be seen on Disney Films such as Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. There is hardly anything offensive about them. They are funny and America loves them.

??? AND I admire them. Nuff said.

I bought a new Subaru back in 1991 from a midget named Robert E. Lee! He did car commercials on local TV as "Mr. Big". Amazing but true!

My kids had me watch Austin Powers again this weekend. Mini-me cracks me up.

I don't think he'd be much of a distance hiker though.

Has any midget ever gotten a movie role that wasn't comedy? There was one on tv who was a lawyer...

I knew a girl who dated a midget. They broke up and I asked her brother what happened. And He Said...

When they was nose to nose, his toes was init.

Reminds of of one bizarre night at the Subic Bay, PI, Cubi Point Officers Club. It was St. Patricks Day and as you approached the entrance you were greeted by Philipino midgets dressed as Leperchauns.

Tilt, you are about to turn to talcum
You are so OLD! "We're all Bozos on this bus!" Firesign rules. How long has it been, 25 years? "Porgy Tirebiter, he's a student and a girl delighter; Porgy Tirebiter; he's a student like you (Like me?) ... He's a student like you!"
All this midget talk has me feeling a little Austrailian (and I'd don't mean copping an Abo feel) ... Gimme a Fostahs and Toss tha Buggah!
Where DO dwarves figure in?

hmmm.

I don't know where one might place Dwarves on the spectrum of Little People. It IS somewhat problematic: the colloquial usage of technical terms.

There was some wacko on one of those collector shows the other day who had an original Lollypop Guild costume... appraised at $50 Thousand smackers. Such a deal!

Hey Vann! What's small, green, and falls apart?

I think that wacky news site is hosted on Phil's college's servers. I clicked on a link on the page and got a file not found message from a Cal Poly Pomona server..... csupumona.edu ring a bell?

Do they make special gear for them?If so do they charge the same amount of money as they do for regular sized gear?
