Phyco Light weight ideas

“I was just reading about ulta light weight hikers that didn't pack a shelter or sleeping bag, so they just slept in there rain gear. What do you guys think about this.”

“I read in National Geographic about this group of guys who mountain biked over 700 miles of the Brooks Range in Alaska (cross country) and the first weak all they had was cold food and raingear. They did the rest of the trip with a Megamid style tent. They carried the bikes more than they rode them.

I would think here in the east like N.J. it would not be too far fetched depending on your comfort level of tolerance. I have been seeing this vest for a while in Seirra Trading Post and have wondered if it can be loaded carefully enough for a summer minimalist weekend trip. It?s down to $100 now.”

“Tea, on my first trip we slept under the stars 'cause the jerk (I mean good friend) I went w/ was too lazy to put the thing up. I was pissed. We didn't have pads and we might as well have been w/out bags. We slept in a total dirt chicken patch. It was fine though. We had dogs, it made me much more comfortable.”

“It's 198-proof (99% alcohol) Grain Alcohol. Not sure what the "P" stands for, but Everclear is the most-potent/hazardous alcohol a person will ever drink.”

He melted his wifes tupperware lid,ate out of a baggy with his fingers (cous-cous no less!) he even went barefoot or wore Tevas, once he suggested using plastic garbage bags as a water bag. Fortunately someone pointed out that this was "dangerous and irresponsible"....”
