RE: The Case of the Missing Newgirl
Le Subtil, those are the "new" (didn't this start in the 70's) superlow Levi's. I think hip-huggers is the geezer term. HAHAHA! You know, for those hip bones. Rad, didn't you love the part where we looked at pictures? HAhaha! LyndyS, I'm not powerful. I'm a petite, lightweight. I think newgirl works.

Whew! What a night! I dreamt I met Newgirl and a dancing midget. I gotta quit smoking that string cheese.
Nigal- you're OK as long as you don't wear wool!

RE: The Case of the Missing Newgirl
In keeping with a backpacking theme, we did discuss a number of topics ranging from gear to beginning backpacking. A Beartooth trip may be in the works. I gotta admit, though, she's got some scruples. She didn't fall for the old "Hey, I wonder if two people could fit in this bag?" line.

Yeah, Aero might be just the guy to learn me some packin'! No Cooke City stuff this Jan. though. I'm a wimp. I'll get MY OWN sleeping bag before that.

RE: The Case of the Missing Newgirl
Newgirl, don't be so literal! Luke Skywalker probably didn't weigh much more than you when he had his first fight with Darth Vador. You could be Girl Skywalker. Imagery. You think of yourself as powerful, and then you are.

Wait a second here! That Kilroy guy looks an awful lot like that evil Bert dude! Could it be I was wrong about newgirl? Could it be that Bert=Kilroy=newgirl and we're all being duped?

I just got called a geezer.

:-(

The visual of the super low Levis almost made up for it.

Where'd I put my nitro pills?

I wanted to bring back this thread because I loved Aero's story, and he was feeling a bit like a pariah lately.

You are the bestest, Aero! (sorry but I couldn't totally steal Lyra's signature line).

One of my favorites. I want to find Ice Tea's classic story about his urban trek to Dunkin' Donuts. I can't remember the thread name.

Mike, at that time, no one had met me. Aero and I arranged to meet so he could verify my existence to these weirdos (TTers). So, the rest is history and eventually lead to my meeting you and all the other wonderful Montanapaloozers. Get it?

Hey NG - My girl got home yesterday, from the cabin on Shuswap Lake. She's doing great and had her fill, of waterskiing etc. Her birthday's on the 5th, so we'll be celebrating, for sure. Thanks for asking.

How's your little one doing?

That's where the "toxic blue smoke cloud" incident of 1973 took place (1971 Chevy Townsman wagon/lemon)....

Hodge, the little one is doing grrrrreat! We almost have potty training done (1 1/2 yrs. old, we rule), she's talkin' up a storm (gotta' watch my mouth), and in general, growing like a weed.

So, your's will be 15, eh? Now the real test of your parenting skills begins. Can you survive the teen yrs.?

Newgirl - Actually 14, this year, and the test began long ago... He He... you'll see. 'Terrible twos' coming up, eh?

LOL Martyb - We used to have a regular thing, around Sunday Summit, on the #3 near Manning Park. The old Ranch Wagon, just didn't like that spot.... Lost hubcaps, blown tires, radiators etc. A burning vehicle started a pretty bad forest fire, up there last year
