“I looked at arclite's pictures. So that is what Roan Mountain looks like? I heard so much about it, it's sort of disapointing.”

“Roan mountain is best either in the fall when the leaves are turning or in the spring when the wildflowers are blooming.”

“The climb up is more rugged than it appears on top. The Roan highlands are considered tough hiking by lots of folks. It's definately worth a trip or two. My vote is fall.”
