Digital PhotosView MessagesRE: Digital Photos “Admittedly APS doesn't have the resolution of 35mm For my purposes APS was great as long as I used the higher speed films. My first APS camera was the best of all of them if I used 400 speed Fuji film.” 3:10:38 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “I thought that digital cameras were just for taking naked pictures of yourself and others playing twister while being covered in olive oil.” 7:34:29 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “Whoa Gear Slut! Too much information! Way too much! Let's discuss the concept of inappropriate disclosure, shall we?” 7:48:07 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “it is kinda true though ;)” 10:09:17 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “Like no one has ever covered themselves with avocado paste and pretended to be a big taco before.” 10:16:37 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “Wow, Gear Slut, thanks for the visual again .” 10:27:40 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “...waiting to be filled with meat? no thanks! LOL!!!!” 10:42:45 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “Hold onto that Jeep lizs! It?s a general rule with Jeeps, don?t get rid of one unless you?re getting another one. The only reason I got rid of my first one is because my buddy down at the dealer had to sell 12 of them on the last day of the month so I had him over a barrel (shat up Rad!). He called me at 10:30 AM and we haggled and I bought the thing over the phone. Went in by noon and drove it off. Just to stay on topic, I'll drive my Jeep to buy the camera.” 10:51:41 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “i love my jeep, you can keep the barrel, tho!” 10:57:59 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “I knew that one would get you sklukaz! he he he Jeeps rule!!!!” 11:34:43 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “Cool shots! Does your new digi cam have black and white capability?” 11:44:55 AM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “I use an APS for work because it fits in my pocket, a 35mm SLR for stuff I'll want to save and might want to enlarge, but my digital camera is great because I can take a jillion photos for free and emailing them is easy. One can never have too many cameras.” 12:03:47 PM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “Or Jeeps!!!” 1:31:02 PM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “o|||||||o” 1:37:29 PM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “A common problem in my digital camera pics is backlighting. Foreground too dark because exposure is determined by backlight. On my Canon AE-1 there's a backlight button that adjusts the f-stop. Can anyone tell me--either specific to my camera, or general to point-and-shoot cameras--how to handle backlighting? My camera is a Kodak DC4800. It does have a manual f-stop dial. It also has the ability to change shutter speed. But either way, I think I still have the exposure problem. (And if you are wondering...I have misplaced the manual.) Thanks.” 2:20:15 PM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “Fritz- Many of the 'point and shoots' have 'spot metering' to read light, off of the subject, but that tends to 'blow out' the brighter background. You can 'fill in' the foreground, with the flash, if your subject is close enough” 3:49:11 PM 10/24/01 RE: Digital Photos “can you change the iso lighting level? or adjust the white balance? here is the manual to your camera.. dc 4800 zoom hope something there can help, besides that, just play with it...” 12:07:36 AM 10/25/01
