1. Ford made only the big mistake of pardoning Nixon. His other mistakes were minor comparatively, and he was more independent than I thought he would be.
2. Reagan was a simple-minded man who stuck to his guns. He was probably manipulated like no other president before him.
3. Clinton was the best thing that ever happened to the Republican party. They are still trying to score off of him by blaming him for everything under the sun.

Then they complain that they don't have any input into the decision making process. My state and federal reps and I are often at odds. I frequently use email because of it's conveience. I usually get a personalized response that often is an explaination as to why they didn't agree with me. Sometimes it's an elaboration as to why they agree. They always describe their position in detail and follow up with the final outcome on that particular issue.
