Today's unconscious offering - Summicron Yesterday's - Timex I think I am still looking.” 2:03:35 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Jawja, huh... How about go-bob, go-jo's bro?” 2:05:47 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “How about Porch?” 2:06:02 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “LMAO, Splash. I thing you got it.” 2:09:05 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Georgia Porche” 2:09:38 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “You can have my name. I'm not really using it.” 2:09:41 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “My wife's family is big into giving people nicknames. While we were dating, they all referred to me as mediaman because I work at a TV station. I didn't find this out until a couple years later- about the same time I was first getting onto TT.” 2:11:35 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “LMAO, Sarabelle, I love your name, you should keep it.” 2:11:46 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “i dig the name, Lyndy :-) hey BobK, did you ever think of the obvious, B.O.B.?? LOL!! i'm so excited that i know what the means now...” 2:12:40 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “LOL!!!I think BobK would have to be a VERY confident man to use that name!” 2:17:19 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Even teat-boy would get the nod over anything to do with jawjuh! It's a state, but not a state of mind (or mine, for that matter). Alabama is more like home to me, but the kind of home you really don't want to go back to all that often! Hint: Anything too "neck-ish" just doesn't work for me.” 2:18:20 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Okay, we need to know if you are an animal, vegetable, mineral, or serial killer.” 2:22:14 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Come on Bob, give us a hint, what do you do for a living, what was your most embarrassing moment, what did the other kids call you in school..... LOL” 2:24:37 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “switchbacks are a pain in the ass...so am I. but I'm looking for a new name. sooner or later.” 2:27:54 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Again. Mine's free.” 2:29:14 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Starting to sound like bacpac, disguising himself because it's after lunchhour... We know how he feels about teets.” 2:33:26 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “I habe t' confess. I'm dgust Ice Tea trolligg.” 2:41:16 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Jarhead was already taken.” 2:41:45 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Serial beer killer, maybe. ;-) I wanted to be photoboy, but it was taken.” 2:44:59 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “I like the name Leatherneck.” 2:46:54 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “cameraboy minoltaboy hasselbladboy” 2:50:30 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “My friends from Brownsville, Tex. call me Centavo, cuz that's my name in Spanish of course they usually say it like this (after a few beers) CENNNTAAVOOO the CORONA QUEEN!” 2:51:39 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Well, it would have to be leicaboy, but I think that sounds too pretentious.” 2:52:23 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Do you have an ethnic background? Like you could be Robertoooo or Robruno or something? Or pick a topographic feature, like Arroyo or Rio.” 2:58:38 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Flash?” 2:58:40 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “I second Fritz on that.” 3:00:12 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Yeah, you must have a raincoat!” 3:01:27 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “ILeicaLikeThat?” 3:01:34 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Like the lake that is so beautiful and clear. Has year round access. And I live really close by.” 3:02:42 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Flash or ILeicaLikeThat, those are good names, Fritz.” 3:06:21 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Hey Tahoe, mine's from a lake too, actually two lakes; Upper and Lower Aero Lakes. 10,000 feet up in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness- my all-time, favorite hike. It's only open during the 6 weeks of summer, though.” 3:16:32 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “I was an indian chief in a previous life.” 3:18:14 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Those are some good names, Fritz. Some other generic photo terms could be good also. What about f-stop or aperture? Flash might make people think I hike fast, and nothing could be further from the truth. Flashbulb might work, though. That would be in keeping with the 30 to 40 year old cameras I use. When I was a boy scout, the only merit badge I ever got was in photography. Well, there was also that basket weaving one, but I don't usually 'fess up to that one!” 3:24:02 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “'Cause you're a real Zeiss guy? If this is 'The Peach State,' why do we have to go to Soccer Liner to get peaches?” 3:26:15 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “I actually just 'logged in' for something specific and didn't think about it. Who new that I'd still be here 2 years later with the same name. I should at least change it to match my website.... Hodgeman” 3:29:36 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Aero, those must be some cold lakes. Tahoe is pretty cold, but with some tenacity it is swimable by about mid-July.” 3:30:00 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Ever been to Lake Stix4legs?” 3:34:56 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Yeah, Tilt, I sure see a lot more peaches growing in S. Carolina than in Georgia! But I guess you shouldn't judge a state by what you can see from I-85! Zeiss makes great lenses, if you like the cameras they generally come attached to. ;-)” 3:35:06 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “I don't, yet, have a name that has derived from a trail experience. So, for now, mine is just what it is. I'm sure it's obvious. But, for the less intelligent, I'll explain: Tarabull - sounds like Terrible and Tara is my real first name... And I am terribly fun, witty, smart, etc... ;-)” 3:41:08 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “And you're not a Taurus? *G* Shootin' the bull, maybe? For sure, Bob. It's the same with I-20... "Georgia: the Billboard State".” 3:49:03 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “*BOING* testing, 1, 2... Didja ever wake up in the mornin? With a Zomby Woof behind your eyes? FZ” 3:52:08 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Way back in the dark ages I was hiking with some friends from high school. We were going up a scree covered incline and I wasn't making any progress. Just slipping and sliding back down. one of my so called friends said I looked just like a hamster in a wheel and it stuck, Hamster. Over the years it morphed into Pamster and that is my sad, sad tail, I mean tale.” 4:06:37 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Tahoe- the ice on Aero Lakes dosen't even break up until late June-early July. I have jumped in, though, resulting in major shrinkage.” 4:08:26 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Good story, Pamster!” 4:18:03 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Nice handle Splash!” 4:33:26 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Thanks, Got-a-clue-sklu-kaz! I feel like I can finally spell your name without looking it up. My married name is pretty unpronounceable too. But it has character, lol!” 4:36:45 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Kinda stay to myself except when I am on trail talk and the wolf is my totem, so some one said. Bob, I kinda liked the F-stop myself, it sounds pretty original. I don't want to pack with any of the looneys in here because it would lead to a different name for me. mawmuftashonfara or blazingpacksaddles or whydidyadothat, howdidyagetascarthere would be some of the likley ones.” 4:38:16 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “BobK, lizs is a photography buff too, I bet she could come up with some catchy names for you.” 4:38:50 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Yeah, where's lizs when you need her. She owes me anyway after that bobka name! ;-)” 4:52:53 PM 11/07/01 RE: Trail names “Let's see, we have Flash and Splash..maybe we need Whiplash now too? Lobo, the wolf is my totem too, but did you know they are the most socialized creatures in the animal kingdom? In fact, that whole "lone wolf" myth is actually far-fetched. Wolves are only loners when they are in transition between packs. Txwoodswoman - I am woman I live in Texas I love the woods” 4:56:02 PM 11/07/01
