But old things with history are neat. Most of my furniture is old, family hand-me-downs and some are very nice pieces. My kitchen mixer and sewing machine are ancient. I can relate to why people want to keep old military equipment and know the stories behind them.”

Bunyip, I use my surplus wool pants for Xcountry sking and hunting. They're worth way more than they're sold for. Mine have a layer of plastic between the fabric in the knees and tush area.

Wolfsister did I say that? They do look pretty cool.

As far as I'm concerned if something old works well it's perfect, shiney or not! Most of our furniture is old. If I can find something old, in good shape I feel more thrilled than if I'd bought something at the ritziest store in the world! Flea markets and garage sales are my favorite places to shop.”
