Cup “Has anyone tried the TI cup? Found my 2 oz plastic thremal cup shattered from last weekend (I dropped the bear canister from the back of the truck). Just went to REI and the other mugs were HEAVY.” 3:03:36 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “I haven't tried one yet, but I usually just use one of those plastic measuring cups. If they do break they don't cost much and they serve a double purpose.” 3:57:27 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “No, I like to use one of those medium sized insulated mugs. I have mine marked on the inside for 1, 2, and 3 cups. That way I can measure the water for my meals easily. I also use for soups and oatmeals. And I when I make an evening cocktail, I pack with snow and pour the bourbon over the top of the snow for a bourbon slushy.” 3:59:34 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “I have never found it necessary to wear a cup on the trail. Waitaminute....sorry,Thermal mug guy here.” 4:01:48 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “Man, those Ti cups would burn the piss outta your lips. I can tell that without even using one. Get the knockoff REI thermal cup with a lid and be done with it. Light enough, insulated and durable.” 4:10:01 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “Thermal mug from the dollar store for ...you guess it a dollar. Saw the bottom of the handle away from the cup so it "clips" on the outside of your pack.” 4:26:46 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “HPM: I was thinking something similar.. but when I saw it was a REAL thread.. I refrained.. cos I originally thought it was a thinly veiled attempt at asking cup size.” 4:33:12 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “Lexan cup for me or I just drink out of my Titanium Pot.” 5:10:44 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “I have the MSR Ti cup. It was a gift. It replaced my 8 oz insulated aladdin cup. It's like 1.1 oz or something. I like it a lot, and I don't burn my lips (but you should be careful). I put the top of an old sock around it to insulate a little but it stays warm longer (conducts less) than I thought it would.” 5:22:14 PM 11/09/01 RE: Cup “Humanpackmule, I thought one of the gals were talking about bra sizes or "support". I don't carry a thermal cup....I have a 1 litre thermos bottle.” 3:28:06 AM 11/11/01 RE: Cup “I use this old thermal Michigan mug that is cracked, melted on one side and all the writting is rubbed off. I have seen the new Nalgene mug/bottle on the web but havn't handled one yet. If it weighs about the same I may pick one up.” 9:54:39 AM 11/11/01 RE: Cup “Ooooh! I've been out of the loop for awhile. A new Nalgene mug/bottle? I'll have to check that out. I think I need to do a little gear window-shopping. hmmm... better get a glass of dry wine to keep the drooling to a minimum. ;o)” 11:41:40 AM 11/11/01 RE: Cup 5:15:37 PM 11/11/01 RE: Cup “I saw that go mug! It's kinda cool.” 5:41:41 PM 11/11/01 RE: Cup “Ooooh, thanks for the link Nigal.” 5:44:29 PM 11/11/01
