I'm interested in knowing if anyone has experience with the Martin Guitar line of backpacker instruments?

I've seen photos of them over the years, but never 'in the flesh'. Maybe that's a clue, *grin*.

For actual backpacking, I go with an Oak pennywhistle, in D.

Hmmm... If I Really wanted to bring along some strings, I think a normal low-end mandolin might be a better choice.

I have one, sounds nice for the size and materials.

Nothing like my Martin D-12-28 though..*grin*
