Pasta with olive oil, parsely, garlic, pepper. The best is hands down Sir Strider!

My trail meals don't get real fancy. I'm a heat-n-eat kind of guy.

RE: Lets Eat
I'm a better cook on the trail than I am at home (which isn't saying much). Why? I think because at home, I'm busy tasking and I cook and eat out of neccesity but on the trail, I take pleasure in the simple things.

Don't get me wrong. I try to take pleasure in the simple things all the time but lifes responsibilities and curve balls can cloud the picture. *sigh* I love backpacking.

I'm hungry.

I swear I eat more cereal late at night than in the morning!

Those little Brach's rich & dreamy chocolate candies taste pretty good after a few days on the trail.

nuts
chocolate
chicken & rice
tuna fish & crackers
These are my staples.

I-am-OM is quite the gourmet on the trail.

Mel is the dehydrator queen. With her llamas she can pack quite a kitchen...and other stuff that helps make the backcountry a home.

Naviguesser is great at simple meals that satisfy...followed by a chaser.

I look forward to a trip with Strider some day.

RE: Lets Eat
I like a big breakfast. Eggs and bacon and some potatoes. When the weather is chilly like now, I can take all the good stuff.

Best cook? I guess I will find out this weekend.

No cook bacon for breakfast. Use a food sealer, and put in hot water in the morning. Heats it up in a minute, cut the plastic and eat, and it tastes good. Refrigeration not needed. From Costco.
