Yoho or Pacific Rim

I think the only US NP, that I've been to recently, is Olympic NP, so I guess it's my favourite. I definitely have a few others, on my list

Did anyone read this article in Backpacker? It hit on exactly how I feel about Glacier being named the best national park in America. Happy, but not really.

WOW I musta miss this one!!
Although there ain't much hiking or amazing vistas but the first time I laid eyes on the Lincoln Memorial and gaze out from the top step, I was just as captivated as I was when standing at the rim of the Grand Canyon.

Barring the lines of people and minivans in the Jelleystone corridor and Yosemite valley I would need to lump into this list the vacant Noatak N.P. and the O.N.P. as some of the more interesting places to see.

Who here collects those N.P. brochures?

They're all special for different reasons. The Smokies are my closest national park and will always be special to me, but I loved Acadia last Fall and the two times I've gone to the Grand Canyon. I was totally knocked out by Yosemite Valley but was appalled at the traffic...

All the rest are on my To Do list!

Crater Lake, Glacier, Denali, National Seashores on both coasts... my list is still fairly long.

To choose one park over another...
would be too limiting.

Like Tilt said, they're all special for their own reasons. That's why they were established, to preserve a unique part of the geography and ecosystem.
