“I liked the JMT from Purple Lake to Mt Whitney. The section from Lyell Canyon to Shadow Lake was good too. I didn't care for the section between Shadow Lake to Purple Lake (too many signs of horses near the water, trail beat up, water bad). The smoke from all the fires in the beginning didn't help either.”
