Mt Hardware/ Kiva “I am considering this pricey little jewel,,, Does anyone hae advice or thoughts?” 2:13:02 PM 11/17/01 RE: Mt Hardware/ Kiva “have...oops” 2:14:53 PM 11/17/01 RE: Mt Hardware/ Kiva “I use mine all year long (about 140 days), haven't used a tent with a floor in years. I especially like it in the winter, I can dig trenches so we can sit inside with our feet down...lots easier to remove boots, put on gaiters, store stuff and to be able to just SIT! Do a real good job on seam sealing and you won't have a problem with leaks during downpours. I have used it in 60+mph winds, use the side pullouts and the tent is darned near bomb proof. It won't help you with mosquitoes though. About the best tent I have ever used.....my Moss would be next, but I've gotten so used to the roominess, light weight and simplicity of my Kiva that I haven't used the Moss in years.” 2:43:43 PM 11/17/01 RE: Mt Hardware/ Kiva “Thanks, mtnsteve! How about the straps across the "floor" what is the deal with those?” 4:04:06 PM 11/17/01 RE: Mt Hardware/ Kiva “I actually heard a salesmen tell someone that they are to tension the tent for high winds, LOL... They allow you to pitch the tent very quickly by staking one "corner" then pulling out the other two (that the straps are attached to) tight and staking them...after that, you just pull the other "corners" out tight and stake them. I can pitch my Kiva in less then 2 min if I have to.” 4:29:15 PM 11/17/01 RE: Mt Hardware/ Kiva “I think I am convinced-and it is that lovely Tennessee orange- Thanks again, Josh Where are you from?” 9:41:54 AM 11/18/01 RE: Mt Hardware/ Kiva “Northern CA Soon to secede and become the 51 State” 9:55:01 AM 11/19/01 RE: Mt Hardware/ Kiva “Ever been to the high desrt around Bend, Oregon? I was lucky to visit for a few days-I rank it way up the awesome scale-” 1:32:48 PM 11/19/01
