“On behalf of everyone out here on the left coast, I would like to issue a warm welcome to our new, transplanted friend, Mr. Naked Ape.

Seems to me Mr. Ape is a perfect example of what the perfect modern Backpacker would be, as he routinely exhibits skill & acumnen beyond human understanding or comprehension. I believe we are extremely fortunate to count Mr. Ape among us as a compatriot.

I will personally do everything I can to introduce Mr. Ape to trails that will cahllenge & amuse him. I trust that the rest of my fellow West Coasters will do so as well.

“WW, why don't you pencil in the February Frozen Fanny trip? Looks like what we may do is set up a base camp for those who want to do some basic winter camping, and also have a snowshoe-trek from there for those who want to do that. Details are very much up in the air at the moment...that's the general idea I'm getting.”

Y'all are a wonderful bunch to hike with, cain't wait on the next one! I'm estatic to be here on the "left coast" with the likes of whom I just met.

Thank you too WW, WD, Sunshine, and anyone else who welcomes lil ole me back to TT. You've been greatly missed I tell ya!!! Shewt yeah WW, Yosemite soundin' like my kinda place! A great deal of catchin up to do is what lays before me, hehe. First question I have for my ECT brethren is did MOM start her AT thru-hike? I know she nixed her East Coast Hike thang, but has she yet started north from Springer? Yaknow, enquirin' minds... It's gittin late, so I'll up with more as I thank of 'em. Great to be back tho! And don't forget ECT'ers, when you make it out this way to see some BIG mountains, stay where there's no accent -my place- hehe.

“Well howdy there Mel! I'm here and FINALLY back inta cyberspace! I'm in Fairfield right between Sac and San Fran. How far am I to ya? Due date for Jr is July 8, so that kinda blows my summer (not in a bad way mind yuns). But with a shiny, brand spankin new baby in the house, likely I'll have gramma's staying for summa the summer. I'll keep up with your hike dates and join ya for a spell, even if it's just a few days. E me with some det's .... giiirl, hehe.”
