Today...rain or snow...heavy at times. snow level lowering from 6000 to 7000 feet around midday to 3000 to 4000 feet by late afternoon. additional accumulations of 1 to 3 feet above 7000 feet. locally gusty southwest winds of 40 to 50 mph. chance of precipitation 100 percent.

“I spent last night in the San Jacinto Wilderness (So. Calif.), but didn't get snowed on - just cold rain and wind on the way out today. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer for snow in my area. :(”

“Mammoth Mountain got 37" snow this weekend. Wuz 15 deg at noon today on the slopes, and kinda windy. But the snow was awesome!!!!!! Powder runs in the trees!!!! Wheeee! (can ya tell I had a greaaat weekend?)

Wind on Saturday was 110 mph on the slopes.
