“My Antelope, Super DL, 5 degree bag has been
good to subzero temps a couple times and still been nice here in CA. Also had on socks, thermal top and bottom, stocking cap. Love that loft. Next time, would pass on the DL, makes stuffing slower, squeezing the air out. Bought it ten years ago or so when I was working lots of overtime and getting paid for it.”

“Sandy, I have made the same observation. Since I got my WM Antelope I feel the constant itch to go camping at ever more challenging winter conditions. The only truly bad thing about it is I have no one who wants to come along.”

“Euro - Come to California. There are many of us who look forward to winter just so we can use that gear. Igloo building backpacking, crossing frozen lakes to prime campsites, lot's of trips. Already have two big trips in January that promise cold temps and lots of snow. I have an awesome Mountainsmith sled with Kifaru belt that can haul all the gear necessary for a full winter expedition. I dare you.....”

“I've had a WM Hooded Aspen (now called the Sycamore) for eight years and love it. In warmer weather I like how I can unzip it totally and use it like a comforter.

Heck, sometimes I even use it in the house watching TV in the winter 'cause I love how light and fluffy it is.”

Because I wanted them. ;-)

House paid for.
Car and truck paid for.
Money in the bank.
Owed no one money.
Divorced and no one to tell me how to spend my money.
Making far more money than I was spending.

I'll just hang on to them. I still havn't given up all hope on hiking again. If I do start again, I'll need to be ultralite.”
