“I get fairly annoyed at thoughtlessness - most recent example this coming I was expecting to see my son and as a result I had not setup a backpack trip - I get back from my hike today (trail maintenance in SNP) to get a message that he is in NY ... which they obviously knew sometime ago but they did not tell me until today past the time where I could have gone out for a nice 3 dayer ... now I am so depressed I doubt I will do much of anything with the rest of the weekend.”

“Don't feel bad. I cancelled a 4 dayer because friends from Alaska and Georgia that I haven't seen in years said they would be in town this weekend. They ALL cancelled at the last minute. I have two more days of crying all to myself.”

“Hey Hog, yeah, it stinks, but don't let it ruin the rest of your weekend. Get out to the woods, even if it's only overnight or slacpacking..you'll feel better!
