Thanks for the pruning and the fixes.

BTW: I just noticed the terms of participation yesterday. I'm not sure how long they have been there, but they seem very reaonable and pretty tolerant. Not all change is for the worse!

Ok, some threads don't do it.
I like the ones that do, though.

Skully,,,

Now I maybe wrong, but the only thing I have noticed is that when I'm in "one day " date range mode, I'm nolonger seeing that some threads are in the hundreds like I use too in that same mode. Now is just shows what happening to a thread in a one day period.

I think that is it.

Since this new concept came into being, I've have always kept it in the one day mode, but still it would always start me out at the beginning of a long thread and not towards the more recent posts nearer to the end.

I don't know,,,,,, it works for me!!!

Well...
mine is always in one-day, that never changes. I noticed that in one of the threads that is multiple pages it starts you out on the last poster if you click on their name instead of at the beginning of the thread (for that range). It got my attention because I find it really annoying to have to page and scroll instead of going right to the one I clicked on. However, I've checked some of the others and they're the same as they have always been. Don't look at me to explain it, I don't do no HTML mon.

help
Now I am having trouble jumping beyond page 1 on some threads. I get an error message. I didn't have that problem on this thread but I did when I tried to see the most recent message on the Montanapaloosa thread (and another I can't remember right now).
pepperDog

I got that too. I went to the Montanapaloosa thread and viewed all posts. When I click next or page two I got:
"Warning: Offset 50 is invalid for MySQL result index 3 in /var/www/thebackpacker.com/htdocs/trailtalk/thread.php on line 33"

Dear Matt,

On behalf of most, if not all, Trail Talkers, I'd like to take this oppurtunity to personally say "Thank You" for all your hard work. Your site warms my cockles during this time of giving and, Lord knows, you have given a lot. A lot of your time and financial resources to give us folks a place we can call home. With that said, I'd like present you with a small gift of appreciation. I have made a donation to the National Human Fund on behalf of yourself and Trail Talk.

Thanks again for everything and I hope you and your family have wonderful holiday season.

so if i post to a thread 20 times and no one else even looks at it the view count will be only 1? That doesn't sound right
