FINALLY (I hope)

“Several times today I've went to thebacpacker.com and I always got sent to the old one.
Friday I would go to the old one sometimes and the new one sometimes.
Has this happened to anyone else?”

“Yup, it happened to me on Friday. By Friday night, my ISP's DNS server had updated with the new record that associates the hostname with the IP address of the new site.

walkindude- You should begin to associate with the new site when your ISP's DNS server updates with the new record. Instead of going to www.thebackpacker.com/trailtalk try 65.208.102.74/trailtalk

You can also type the following command at a DOS command prompt to see if the proper IP address is being associated with the hostname:

nslookup www.thebackpacker.com

If it does not associate www.thebackpacker.com with the IP address 65.208.102.74, you will most likely be going to the old site, based upon the SRV record in your ISP's DNS server.
