Kompperdell Poles - Part 2

“Hey - The search doesn't work or something. I tried to pull up the one I started and nothing... Oh well-------

Any hoooo - I just recieved my expansion nut for the poles I bought two weeks ago at REI and BBAAAMM!

They work just like new! Poles for 10 bones..... Not too bad in my book”

“see? see?... REI.. and what did they change ya for the expansion nut?”

“A bloke who works for Leki, told me that if you had to buy another brand of pole it could only be Kompperdell”

“In regards to REI.....At the garage sale (which was in the warhouse area), the sales guy was pretty helpful. After I inquired about the poles, he did spend about a half an hour on line looking for spare parts. He finally just went to the komperdell website, but it was mostly in German. After that time, I said "well, even for ten bucks, even if I get one out the pair, it's still worth it" and bought them anyway. REI has always been alright to me. But. like birch and Sass, I go in there knowing what I want. I'll ask sometimes just to get another opinion and at my local REI, they are pretty good. That store does sit in one of the more "yuppie" areas (there are some good stories I could tell you guys about customers in there). I found the sales people very helpful and not very pushy. I think that you will always get one or two at any store that are pushy, no matter what the store.”
