“I was as anti-Rocky Mountain oysters as any like minded person would be. Then came a few beers and more then a few shots of tequila. Seemed like the thing to do at the time, we had just gotten out of the mountains and were bellied up at a random biker bar in Golden. Next thing I know, right next to the plate of nachos we had ordered, is a big pile of fried something or others. I'm somewhat embarrassed to say I knew what they were before I ate one, but I did it anyways. I can't really remember the taste, kinda like onion rings? Either way, I havent had one since, and probably will never have another unless I end up sauced in the same biker bar and the same crazy bartender lady throws 'em right in front of me. As far as people that really like them go, they probably have some underlying issues. Buddur seems to have something going with wine-filled cheese balls actually. I wouldnt have normally checked out a thread called cheeseballs, but I had answered some music question in another thread that Budder asked and he said I won a wine-filled cheeseball. I figured I should check this out, and look what I end up admitting to. Try anything once, thats what I say.”

“i worked in a slaughter house and have "unwrapped" more bull balls than most folks will ever see swinging in a field or fried on a plate. i don't see how anyone could mistake them for anything other than what they are. they're too big to be jalepeno poppers or anything like that. do they slice them up before they fry them? the breading/"meat" ratio would not be sufficient if they didn't.”

Anyway, after you get a couple dozen, with a sharp knife, you slit the covering, pop 'em out, and butterfly fillet them. Then, you mix up a good egg and bread crumb batter and plop them in a hot oil skillet. Or, dip them in cornmeal and throw them on the grill! Yum Yum! I'll try to get some for the Montanapalooza barbeque at the cabin! No matter how much those cowboys say they love 'em at those testicle festivals, they sure drink a lot of beer!”

“She's not kidding! A Google search came back with 709 hits for "Testicle festival". Apparantly they serve over 2 1/2 tons of balls to 15,000 visitors at one of the larger ones. You can also play cow-patty bingo or have a bull-chip flinging contest.
