The media is no better (sorry, mediaman). Two weeks ago, the press and co. were stiring the " Why haven't we won yet? Is this going to be the next Vietnam? What's taking so long?" pot. Now, we're in Kabul taking inventory of the Tabliban and Al-Queda and taking care of business (only a month and a half after we started bombing!) and now they're all saying "Why isn't the President being up front with the fact that he wants to go into Iraq?" GGEEEZZZZ, let's give our boys some credit, ya news hounds! Lay off and be supportive for a change. I know that they need this kind of stuff in order to make money, but I gotta tell ya, I am so sick and tired of news people "Working for Me" and such. It's really getting old. Everytime ya flip on the TV it's some other B.S. from them. They need to report news, not create it. The only outlet that I have seen that has given a fair shake to all of this is the Fox News Channel, although they did hire Geroldo and sent him into Afganistan (gggeeeezzzzz). CNN is a flippin joke.

Weather or not I'm happy that Bush is in office rather than Gore I think is a moot point. I think that who ever was in office, 9/11 would have happened. In times like this, we would be supportive of who ever was in office. I think that Bush does have the right people in place to do the job. I don't know if Gore would've had Powell as Sec. of State, I know that if he didn't, we'd be on this board shouting for him to be there! I am very happy with the way things are moving, I think that we have done everything right so far in regards to the war. Here at home, I'm waiting to see how far our freedoms will be pushed before I decide. The government has to be very careful on how it handles it's self on this front.”

It really bothers me to hear some of the stories of the people that have been locked up for weeks with little explanation except that they are "middle eastern". “I don't have any real gripes about the prosecution of the war, or about the way they've handled the warnings (btw, the bridge blunder was really Gov. Davis'--not Bush's). We are deep in the heart of the terra they call incognita, and anyone who claims to have a map is completely full of sh!t; so I'm inclined to cut the administration a lot of slack on the way they handle the situation. (As I have said before, I do have grave misgivings about the suspension of certain civil liberties.)

What I find indefensible is the way they are undermining domestic unity by pressing forward with extreme and divisive initiatives like drilling ANWR, and free money for the ultra-wealthy. Even if there were a case to be made for these on the merits (there isn't), this is absolutely the wrong time to be waging these partisan political battles.”

SuperTroll, I think so far this campagn has been waged appropriately and effectively. The only gripe that I have is that they're called Human Rights, not Citizens Rights.
