For those of you possibly interested in the llama events of 2002....

I have dates of departure (five different ones).

I have places (five different locations).

"We" have a T#&%!$ designer (I did that on porpois').

I have campsites.

I have spring weather forecasts.'

I know about when the sierra backcountry will open for the first hot springs, and trout fishing trip.

We do not YET have a slogan for the 2002 t#&%!$s.

I did mention the MT TT hike to my wife and she sounded like she would let me take a week off w/o pay to do it. If I could get my boss to agree to it.”

Chief, most of my trips are overnighters, so I don't have to take time off work. Once a year I take two wks off. The 30 day trip was a first for me. I guess the web page makes it look like I take a lot of time off. hehehe!”

Here’s the latest on the trips– who’s contacted me, who wants to go where, and when.

Keep in mind everyone on the list is interested but don’t yet know if they can go.

I have a TON of maps and information to send and it’s a REAL pain to start from scratch and send the same stuff out again.

Too many moving parts, and I am notoriously inept at walking and chewing gum at the same time.
Not to even MENTION keeping a half dozen applications open and moving all at once.

Hiatus- July 20, 21, 22:

Llama Rama camp, at or around Mels.

Take a couple of days to lay around and sight-see the Mammoth area and Devils Postpile National Monument.

We wait for new arrivals then we pack for Cottonwood Lakes leg of the hike.

This hiatus will allow us to wash, repack, shower, and get the hiking gear together for the llama packing part of the trip to follow.

I still don't know who wants to, or will be able to, participate in the whole 10 day combo Llama Rama car camp/ hiking trip.
