Todays View of the Sierras from my back porch... “Todays view of the Sierras from my house How about the rest of you , can you see your favorite hiking spots from where you live? Got any pics?” 1:02:17 PM 12/01/01 “Bastard!” 3:25:08 PM 12/01/01 “You know I'm just kidding, don't you...I'm just jealous.” 3:36:26 PM 12/01/01 “That's not fair, WW!” 3:39:59 PM 12/01/01 no pics, it's too white outside. “major storm, a photo would be solid white right now. From my living room window I can see the mountain ridge that divides the Sierra Nevada Range from the Cascades. Volcanoes to the north, granite to the south, and high desert to the east.” 5:09:23 PM 12/01/01 “I can see the I-5 interchange. It's friggin' beautiful!” 5:58:15 PM 12/01/01 “Crowley Lake, the White Mountains, the Ansel Adams Wilderness, and a bunch of snow coming down. You want to see where I live? Go to my website. Neener, neener, neener.....” 6:06:19 PM 12/01/01 “LOL! Buddur Sorry Laqtis Sounds like a cool place to live Gordon. I'm sure it is Roseymonster...LOL! I knew you had pretty views Mel!!! Where I live the air is so dirty, most of the summer you can hardly see the Sierras and they're only 15 to 20 miles away as the crow flies. But after a good rain ....Wow where did those Mountains come from?” 6:27:27 PM 12/01/01 “awesome.” 6:38:20 PM 12/01/01 “I can see Bay Pointe and Dead Man's Hill from my window... If you only knew how NOT exciting that is!” 9:13:13 PM 12/01/01 “I can see Mount Oread from where I live.” 12:06:12 AM 12/02/01 “Now that the smog has cleared up, I get a nice clear picture of Mount San Gorgonio and the surrounding peaks from my house. It looks really beautiful covered with snow.” 12:16:01 PM 12/02/01 “I live close enough to the San Bernardinos that I have a good view even when it is hazy. I am too far west to see San Gorgonio, though.” 12:35:42 PM 12/03/01 “I can see Mt. Rose and Slide Mountain to the west. They are both all snow covered right at the moment. Lake Tahoe is just on the other side of them, Cool.” 2:13:39 PM 12/03/01 Not the Sierras, But.... “I can see Heart, Cedar, Rattlesnake, Pat O'Hara, Carter, a portion of the Beartooths, McCullough Peaks, the Pryors, and the Bighorns from my office.” 4:31:03 PM 12/03/01 “I can't see anything from here, maybe Mt Baldy on a clear day if I drive to the top of one of the streets coming from the beach. Thats why I drive to the Sierras every weekend.” 5:47:38 PM 12/03/01 “That's pretty cool WW. If I go out on the bluffs two blocks from my house I can see the westside of DW on a clear day. Hopefully I'll be even closer sooner rather than later!” 8:28:43 PM 12/03/01 “I can see the San Francisco Peaks from my house--does that count??” 8:36:51 PM 12/03/01 “I can see my compost pile from my back deck and Harvey pond.:o)” 8:51:40 PM 12/03/01 “I can almost see the cooling towers from the nearest nuclear plant. I can look across the field and see the other side of my development. But at work, yes! At work I can, um...stand up and see into the next cubicle. And my kids wonder why I am so NUTS.” 9:18:20 PM 12/03/01 “i can see mt. makiling from where i live, it's only minor but is beautiful, but u wind walker, u got a great place there, and it will be greater if u will invite us to climb that mt. ( travers ).., AMSOC Phil.” 9:53:12 PM 12/03/01 “I got a creek and a patch of woods behind my house. It ain't zakly the Sierras but it'll do I recon.” 9:59:23 PM 12/03/01 Baldo “Y'all are welcome anytime... the tallest peak near center picture is Maggie Mountain (10,042 ft) and just below the peak on the north side are some of my favorite Lakes. There is a nice 20+ mile loop through that area many alpine meadows, 5 or so lakes, plus huge Redwoods along the river on the way out. We usually start at the summit trail head from the North road out of Quaking Aspen and end up in Balch Park at Hidden Falls. In those 20 miles you travel through parts of Sequoia National Forest, Golden Trout Wilderness(bulk of the trip)then briefly enter Sequoia National Park and end up at Mountain Home State Forrest. It's kinda my old stomping grounds...used to go up there every chance I got. Now days I'm trying to see more of the Sierra instead of going to all the same old places over and over. But if y'all are in my area ....I would be happy to show y'all around.” 10:36:30 PM 12/03/01 I'm not kidding... “I can see Mount Oread from my house.” 5:28:18 PM 12/06/01
