HP 206 is Backpacking, HP222 is Hiking, HP 238 is Winter Camping. Rock climbing, kayaking, snowboarding, etc., too.” 11:16:55 AM 12/03/01 A BS Degree in Backpacking “I teach two classes for 1 credit each, at Boise State University. In the fall, we have backpacking, and in the winter we have winter camping. Each has 6 class sessions, and an overnight trip. I get to meet some new people, go on two more trips than I would get otherwise, see a few new places, and get paid. What a deal!” 3:48:05 PM 12/03/01 “This is COLLEGE?? Hmmmm the times they are a changin.” 8:30:23 PM 12/03/01 “You can take backpacking here at Cal Poly Pomona also, but I have never managed to look into it. It is offered at other local univesrities as well. I meet some of the classes while on patrol for the Forest Service. My son has taken SCUBA here for three years. They have a great program. As a student it is very inexpensive to participate. They make their dives out at the various islands off the California coast.” 12:17:47 AM 12/04/01
