“Man I found the best CDs by a guy named Matisyahu. I saw a clip from the Jimmy Kimmel Show of this Chassidic guy doing this unbelievable Reggae music. He mixes traditional Chassidic songs with reggae music. I haven’t heard anything this uplifting and intense in years.

“This website called 41hz.com have these amp modules kits that kick out 25x2 watts with 12 volts. You have to solder all of the parts on the boards but with a decent soldering iron, you can put one together in an afternoon. They are a fun project.

These are tiny. 1/2 the size of a pack of cigarettes, and put out some great sound. Guys use these for their home systems. Put it in a 5x2" Radio Shack project box with a few banana jacks and a 8 AA battery holder and MP3 player and bingo....The ultimate sound system.

Oh yeah..don't forget the speakers, and Nigal..I have Fragile, Close to the Edge and The Yes Album on my MP3 :) Listening to it right now.”

“These are the ones I use. 12oz. With 4 AA batteries. I normally leave the batteries at home and just use the speakers non-amped. They won’t blow you away with volume but on the trail I don’t need that. They do sound awesome though. Combined with the Sony MD player It's a nice little system. The MD disks hold five hours on each disk and the player is like 4 oz. Battery life on the speakers is 24 hours and the player goes for 40 hours on one battery.
