I don't know what a guitar tab is. I've asked google and still don't know. So you are way ahead of me and should be able to check the lists of music with ez guitar tabs.

Sorry nowslimmer, I was only joking. Guitar tab is a way to transacribe music for guitar for people that can't read sheet music very well (like me). It tells you what notes to play but doesn't provide a sense of timing. You have to listen to the music and figure that out for yourself. EZ Tab is just a term used for transcriptions where the sheet music has been greatly simplified to make the song much easier to play. I play mostly from tab because I can pick up songs faster that way. If I really want to get a song right I will dig up the sheet music but it's a long and slow process for me this way.

Sublime
40oz. To Freedom

You've got your hair permed
You've got your red dress on
Screamin' that second gear was such a turn on
And the fog forming on my window tells me that the morning here
And you'll be gone before too long

Who taught you those new tricks?
Damn I shouldn't start that talk,
but life is one big question when your starin at the clock
And the answers always waiting at the liquor store, 40 oz to Freedom,
so I'll take that walk.

And I know that ohhhh...I'm not comin back
Ohh not going back
God knows not going back

You look so fine when you lie it just don't show,
That I know which way the wind blows
40 oz to freedom is the only chance I have to feel good,
even though I feel bad

And I know that ohhhh...I'm not comin back
Ohh not going back
God knows I'm not going back
God knows I'm not going back

Green Day, American Idiot.

It's genius! Puts me back in the 80s... It's got all styles of music put to punk and a lot of angst from guys who have made a lot of money, lol...

Seriously, I love it! Wonder if there will be a musical done from it, since it's themed all the way through, like a rock opera?

I like it cuz it's punk. I liked The Clash and punk-sounding stuff "back in the day."

I do think it's funny they put out this well-produced disk -- as opposed to less post-vocal production in the old days -- and whine about all the bad things in life like they're youngsters without moola and nothin' to do but #&%!$. LOL!

I just found a brand new unopened "Journey's Greatest Hits" CD in my desk while cleaning it up. It's been floating around both my houses the past 4 years and I'm not sure where it came from. Opened up just a few moments ago and started playing it. Good stuff!

I don't lizs. As a punk fan I'd have to say they are about as punk as Shaqil O'Niel is Irish. But I cut my teeth on the Pistols and Black Flag so nothing totay sounds punk to be. I loved Green Day's Dookie CD. That was their best ever.

Thanks, Pathman. Sometimes I have this station going 24 hours per day. BTW, I have looked at one or more stations that you have recommended. This Swizz station has replaced WQXR from the NY Times for me. Although still the owners of the station, they, basically, sold it out to AOL and now, without joining AOL, I can only listen to it for 2-hours per day. But, this Swiss Station is better. And, if you hit "Links" on their page, you can get all types of music from different sources. Swiss has Jazz and Pop Music stations, too.

We had an apartment in the city,
Me and Loretta liked living there.
Well, it'd been years since the kids had grown,
A life of their own left us alone.
John and Linda live in Omaha,
And Joe is somewhere on the road.
We lost Davy in the Korean war,
And I still don't know what for, don't matter anymore.

Chorus:
Ya' know that old trees just grow stronger,
And old rivers grow wilder ev'ry day.
Old people just grow lonesome
Waiting for someone to say, "Hello in there, hello."

Me and Loretta, we don't talk much more,
She sits and stares through the back door screen.
And all the news just repeats itself
Like some forgotten dream that we've both seen.
Someday I'll go and call up Rudy,
We worked together at the factory.
But what could I say if asks "What's new?"
"Nothing, what's with you? Nothing much to do."

Repeat Chorus:

So if you're walking down the street sometime
And spot some hollow ancient eyes,
Please don't just pass 'em by and stare
As if you didn't care, say, "Hello in there, hello."

Right on, StoveStomper. There is a lot of truth in:

"Old people just grow lonesome
Waiting for someone to say, 'Hello in there, hello.'"

This is why so many of them frequent the breakfast restaurants. At least the witresses say "Good morning" to them. It's more for a social experience than it is for the food. At mmny small town Mc Donald's, you can usually find a group of them meeting there for breakfast. At one in Maryville or, actually, Alcoa, TN, they play free bingo one morning a week. Prizes are usually tickets for food in the restaurant.
