A Marmot Nutshell, to be precise
Funny, I don't remember Santa driving a postal vehicle. Merry Christmas, ho ho ho!

I probably should have put it under the tree, but who has that kind of willpower?

Should I be hyperventilating?
I love Christmas!

Skullcap,

If you don't mind, please use spaces in your thread titles. Otherwise, I don't know a simple way to identify TownDAWG's threads, so I can ignore them.

Yes, and now so many questions are flooding my mind...

Are you going to sue for copyright infringement?

Did you even have copyright protection?

No? You mean, you have been engaging in unprotected posting??!

I've heard you can die from that.

I get that in my livingroom everytime I come back from a BPing trip (I set it up to let it dry out).

Be sure to quit hyperventilating before you start seam-sealing it, *G*.

And, uh... take it outside, LOL!

It's the Marmot Nutshell. Here's a pic. It's a 2 person half-dome. It weighs 4.5 lbs. Which is about a pound less than the one we have now. And it packs down so much smaller than the other one!

And SuperTroll? Thppppppppptttttttt ¦ P

You need a tarp.
10x10 nylon tarp w/cord & stakes = less than 2 pounds.

Thppppppppptttttttt

Tent split between my son and I = slightly more than 2 pounds each!

Sweet tent. I love how Marmot makes them pack down to 20 inches.

neat looking tent. that's about 1.5 lbs. less than the 2 man we use (l.l. bean double cross). i like the vestibule on the one we have. very large (16 sq. ft.).

It's freakin tiny. My son can fit it in one of his back pockets. Of course, he can fit the cat in one of his back pockets, but that's beside the point. It's freaking tiny!

The cool thing about having met you (and others) is that when I read your posts, I hear your voice saying it in my head.

I like the "bare bones" set up feature - did you get the ground cover as well?

No, I usually just cut a ground cloth from black plastic mulch. I have some tyvek I might use.

I'm wondering how much that bare bones setup weighs.

Good point. Might as well go tarp.

Actually, I was thinking the other way around. Between my son and I it would have to be less than 2 pounds each and so much easier to set up...
