im new to backpacking

“I am in the bootheel. I have really enjoyed hiking in the Poplar Bluff area on the Ozark Trail. I have also fallen in love with Van Buren and the Current River. Through my job I have traveled extensively over the past 3 years and have had the priveledge of seeing and camping in some fantastic areas of the country. I'm afraid all the company travel will end soon.”

“that is doable. I am looking to get into rock climbing. An outfitter in Jonesboro Arkansas told me that there are some great places in Ill. any ideas. I am looking to do a multi day camping.hiking over the weekend before Christmas , I have sat-tuesday off and would like to hit the woods and trail on Sat and Sunday maybe into monday. gotta be home for xmas eve. I have a siberian husky named Khatru that loves to hike. we both live for it.”
