We're gonna have to tackle a local hike here soon. Lemme know if you have any dayhike plans this month, and if you want company.

Took a cool 3hr one today around Blossom Music Center and visited a few of my geocaches. You'd've loved the hike. I'll definitly keep you in mind the next time I go out.

Thanks!
If I didn't already have a pair of Sierra Designs down booties, I'd definitly throw down the cash and get a pair. But thanks for the tip...maybe someone else can take advantage of the sale.

Hey "B" guys - this is just a thought but the SL version of those MH booties has a water repellent outer shell. Here's the link:
Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero SL Booties.

I's like to see them go on sale somewhere.

Dammit, I thought the lows were water repellent! Oh well, I'm sure they will work fine.

BB - I got a great tip from cow patty when I came home from the AFT hike with soaked SD booties. I gave them a few coats of Campdry, a water repellent spray I got from Walmart. I did a lot of walking around the campsite this past weekend in the snow and they stayed pretty dry.

I'd still like to grab these MH ones though. The goose down should be warmer than the SD duck down.

What Pannsy Said
...and the fit should add to the warmth, too.
