I'm in SE Mich, too. I've only been around this site since spring, but so far everyone I've met (15 - 20) has been extremely nice. I haven't met one yet that I wouldn't happily hike with again.

Our next monthly dayhike is the second Saturday in January. Location still undetermined... Maybe you have a suggestion?

1) West Loop, Island Lake Rec. Area - 10 miles
2) Lighthouse/bald eagle/freighter hike, Pointe Mouillee SGA - 10 miles
3) Pinckney horse trails (8 miles or so)
4) Erie beach hike - Erie SGA (7 miles rt)
5) Pointe Pelee NP (ONT)

Lots more. Any other suggestions? It's Jan. 12, so I assume we should plan on snow, eh?”
