Seizing computers!

“Florida Today Newspaper in Brevard Co., today, in an article near the bottom of the front page reported that over 100 computers in the area have been seized by a special, government task force for having illegal programs, movies or music. They gained access to the computers by offering a movie for downloading.

I'll buy a newspaper later and try to provide more details tonight after work about 8 p.m. EST.”

“Section 814 of the recently passed USAPatriot Bill now deems illegal any activity involving "a computer outside the United States that is used in a manner that affects interstate commerce or communication of the United States."

This means two foreign nationals living in other countries can be prosecuted under U.S. laws if any computer communication, including emails, passes through a U.S. router. Since 50% of the world's computer traffic passes through the U.S. this expands the governments authority over innocent civilians worldwide.”
