“Are they any free webhosting out there that someone can recommend?

I think TRIPOD is dead..I can't upload to my website, in fact I can't even get www.tripod.com!

I need 30-50mb, and FrontpageExtensions. Ideas? Contributions?”

“Unfortunately it looks like you may have some trouble finding a free web host that gives up FP extentions. Just doing a search on Google show that many of the former hosts I have used are out of business or sinking fast. www.Freeservers.com used to offer free FP extentions and FTP access, now you have to pay for them. Try http://www.clickherefree.com/Free_Web_Space_Directory.htm to find a host the will work for you.

Personally I gave up on FP extention and have settled for www.freewebz.com, good luck.”

“I use Tripod and don't have any problems at all. I was just on my site today. Others lately have had some problems getting there, so I think it might be a router problem.

Anyway, I tried a lot of the free servers and have uploaded to about 10 trying them out before I ended up at tripod.

NBCi = dead and gone.
50 megs = 10 megs, and small files.
Yahoo.com = 12 megs and only a few scripts.
Bellsouth = not free.
Tripod = 25 megs no limit to files.
Geocities = yahoo.

Try Angelfire, I know they have free sites, but I'm not sure of the size.

“Oh, and you will never find a free site with Front Page - microsoft charges them. You may find other ways to present stuff like java and pearl. There are lots of good sites out there for that.
