Whutcha gettin'?
Greedy materialism abounds! Let's hear it. What's everyone getting for X-mas? Gear goodies?

Me? A new while photon light with an on/off switch and maybe, a mid-volume pack.

I second le Subtil on the Visa, though mine's really MasterCard... that and another car payment for my dandy new Ranger pickup. Couldn't resist the interest rate deal, though it pretty much blows the gear budget for the next year at least (like I need any more ... oooh, that's blasphemy for sure).

I got my gift early - boots - Asolo 95 GTX. I told wife I needed them early so I had time to break them in before Christmas morning. She didn't fall for it.

I agree, non BPrs really need a list or you'll end up with some wacky stuff.

Already got my Wrangler MT/R All Terrain Tires for snow-wheeling. Already tested it out several times! Not looking forward to the bill.

Also getting me a computer, so SnowDude can have his back. The other one died.

And Kelty Flight 4500 for each of us.

Birch: I recommed the sport axe over the backpack axe. Negligible weight difference and you can use two hands if need be with the sport axe.

The Joy Of Giving!
I saved and put things on lay-away for the past couple months. This Christmas I am giving myself the gift of giving to others. Belowzero is getting some major nice stuff, that he's been whining about needing (more like wanting) and Newergirl is getting everything a 1 yr. old baby girl could desire. I am so excited. I also got gift certificates for ea. of my sibs to the stores they love. I feel so good about it. I am especially excited to see Newergirl's reactions. She loves to tear up paper, so gift wrap should be right her alley.

I gave some friends a green Photon II last night for a Christmas present. They have an incredible mic & DAT recording system and their hobby is taping the concerts they go to...and they go to alot. They're always checking things using a handsize MagLight. I got Mary's favorite color, green, which works well cause it isn't that bright but still illuminates everything around them. I think they'll find it'll come in pretty handy.
