I am going to somewhere in the Monongehela Natl Forest 12/26 or 12/27.

Roaring Plains is the most likely place.

I want to spend three nights and explore the Roaring Creek basin and generally tool around UP there.

Tarp Rat had posted some pictures of the Monongehela Forest. It looks like a great place. I'll have to look up the Roaring Creek area on the map. Where do you get trail maps from?

If you can find one of those "50 Hikes In The Monogehela Natl Forest" books they have details for the Roaring Plains and Flatrock Plains and Tarp Rat's favorite haunt, Dolly Sods, which is just north of the other two.
