“TownDawg, I was at Springer Mtn a few weeks ago and the FSR is in good condition. I always see lots of people driving cars on that road - not SUV's and trucks. I hiked the section from the SP to Woody Gap last September. It's a good 2.5 day hike. The 5 mile section before Justus Creek has no water, so be careful. There is a person in Suches that will shuttle you from Woody Gap to Springer for a small fee. Let me know if you want his phone#.”

“We are hiking from Woody Gap to Woods Hole Saturday, and Woods Hole to Neels Gap Sunday, anyone gonna be in the area?

I have a shuttle arraigned already, but if anyone wants to meet up with us, let me know and we can coordinate.”

“That's a nice hike. Wish I could go, but I am too out of shape and have other stuff planned for the weekend. Isn't Woods Hole shelter the one that's almost a mile off the trail?”

“It is being reported on WhiteBlaze that the spring at Woods Hole is dry right now. You will have to load up at Lance Creek.”

“Is this the trip we did where Prowler crashed and burned? That trip may have been farther north now that I think of it. It seems like TD was involved, and then had a conflict pop up.”

“I thought he crashed and literally burned somewhere up north like around Aero's world.

It's like .7 off trail, but the milages are pretty low, and we will be going in lightweight. I'm just worried about all the bear stories at that shelter and having sipsey with me.”

THe trip I'm remembering was from Woody Gap up the Standing Indian, now that I think about it a little more.”
