“Has anyone seen one of these tents? If so, what did you think of it? Trying to find a decent solo tent. Trying to keep it around 5 lbs. or less. This tent has a huge vestibule.”

“Backpacker magazine did a test on this tent and it got a good review from them. The only thing they didn't like was that the vestibule zipper had no cover over it and they said rain went through the zipper and wet gear in the vestibule. I'm not sure if Eureka changed that.
A good roomy tent for one would be a Sierra Designs clip flashlight. It's a 2 man, but it weighs less than 5 pounds. I have a Eureka copy of it I bought in 1985 and used it solo many times with good results. Mine had no vestibule, but I put a 5X7 tarp in front of the door in bad weather and the tent and tarp was still less than 5 pounds.”
